Based on the text Number Talks by Sherry Parrish, we will learn the what and why behind Number Talks in the math classroom. We will explore how we can “create conversation around purposefully crafted computation problems that are solved mentally.” Teachers will make a plan for implementing Number Talks in their classroom next year and gain access to lots of mental math resources. Focus - Intermediate teachers.
