This workshop will help to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for participants to effectively find grant opportunities for classroom and school projects. A variety of search options will be covered including pay sites such as the Foundation Center Database, free databases, websites, publications, and local resources. Instruction will include a hands-on activity, so participants should bring the device of their choosing to conduct research.

Reading Conferences - Utilizing Data for Effective Conferring
Teachers will look at data they are already using or can use to plan goals, skills, and strategies using Seravallo's Reading Strategies book and the Fountas and Pinnell Literacy Continuum. Teachers will analyze sample data and plan how to implement effective conferring with small groups and individual students through discussion.
